At the checkpoint of the Syrian Army situated in Salqin.

On 15 July 2012, Mr Abdel Muti Ibrahim was arrested at a checkpoint in Salqin by members of the Syrian Army wearing in military uniforms, who did not provide any arrest warrant. According to some witness, he was then sent brought to the Military Security office branch in Idlib. This was the last time Mr Ibrahim was seen.

Worried about his fate, Mr Ibrahim’s mother started to inquire about her son’s fate. One month after his arrest, she went to the Military Security Branch in Idlib where she started looking for him and was told by the military authorities that her son was detained here. However, she was not allowed to see him and she was not provided with any official document proving his arrest and detention.
